| The Red Wings have determined Johan Franzen's head injury, according to the Detroit News. It was a subdural hematoma that forced Johan Franzen out of the Red Wings' lineup for six playoff contests. Subdural hematoma can be caused by minor accidents to the head, major trauma, or the spontaneous bursting of a blood vessel in the brain. GM Ken Holland said, "It's not going to affect him long term. Basically, in effect, it's a bruise. It's like when you get hit on a part of your body."
