Chris Paul agreed to a three-year contract extension with an option for a fourth year, this according to the Times Picayune. The deal is estimated at $68 million, $20 million per season.

Gilbert Arenas has agreed to a six-year, $111 million contract, this according to the Washington Post. The Wiz offered between $125 to $127 million over six years, but Arenas took less in order to help the Wizards have room to add key pieces over the next few seasons. The deal still has to be finalized once the league releases salary cap and luxury tax numbers next week. Arenas told the Post, "What can I do for my family with $127 million that I can't do with $111 million?"

According to the Rocky Mountain News, two sources report to the paper that the Nuggets aren't immediately targeting re-signing point guard Anthony Carter, but that Anthony Johnson is a possible replacement. The Nuggets have admitted to having an interest in free-agent points Jannero Pargo, who is 6-foot-1, and 6-2 Carlos Arroyo. Free agent Johnson, is 6-3 with long arms, and could give the Nuggets some much-needed size at the point. Johnson averaged 5.6 points and 3.8 assists for the season, and has career marks of 5.7 points and 2.9 assists.
