Bryan McCabe finally recaptured his old scoring touch on Thursday night as he scored a goal and dished out three assists for the Leafs. In 40 previous games this year McCabe had only four goals and 13 assists, so it's about time that he finally broke out and put up some points. Nothing he can do at this point of the season will make up for what has already transpired, but that doesn't mean those of you who held on to him shouldn't reap some benefit.

McCabe is having a miserable and injury riddled season. In 35 games the defenseman has four goals and 11 assists.

Bryan McCabe continued his season of woe on Thursday night as he was held pointless while registering a (-1) for the Maple Leafs. McCabe has scored two points in his last seven games and a feeble 14 in 34 games on the season. Things are bad in Toronto, and McCabe has dealt with injury this season, but after 3-straight 50-point seasons his effort this year has been a fantasy killer.

Maple Leafs defenseman Bryan McCabe returned to the ice Thursday night after missing 22 games. McCabe played his first game since Dec. 15, when he broke his left hand in a 4-1 loss to the Canadiens at the Bell Centre. McCabe had an early first period shot on goal, his only of the game, in just over 23 minutes of ice time.

"It's great to be out there with some guys instead of being out there by myself," said McCabe. "A little more fun to get back out and compete, throw some checks around, and kind of get going again."
