Martin Brodeur returned on Friday against the Capitals after missing the last six games with a sprained knee, according to the AP. He stopped 21 of 24 shots. "I survived the game," Brodeur said. "Personally, I felt really good in there. My leg was good. I was not afraid to play the way I wanted to play. That's something I was looking at before getting a start. I'm pretty happy about it."

Martin Brodeur caught his right leg on the post Wednesday night and left the game with a knee injury. It doesn't appear that the injury is serious, according to the AP. "I was concerned enough to leave the game," Brodeur said. "The doctor looked at it after the game and he thought it didn't look too bad, but we'll see what happens."
