A Michigan bank is suing Sergei Fedorov, saying payments have stopped on more than $2 million in loans, according to the AP. Citizens State Bank filed a lawsuit Monday against Fedorov. The lawsuit, filed in Macomb County Circuit Court, stated Fedorov got loans in 2004 and 2005, one for $1.75 million and another for $500,000. A default notice was sent in May after payments stopped, Citizens State Bank attorney Scott Norton indicated Tuesday. The bank is owed at least $2.1 million in interest and principal, according to the lawsuit.

The Capitals made their second move of the day Tuesday when they acquired Sergei Fedorov from Columbus in exchange for defenseman Theo Ruth. Fedorov just returned to the ice after missing a month with a concussion. He's a shell of his former self but with certainly be a welcome addition to the Caps lineup.

Sergei Fedorov was finally activated from the injured list where he had been since January 17th when he suffered a concussion. To make room on the squad, the team demoted Joakin Lindstrom according to the AP. Fedorov has eight goals and 19 points in 46 games this season for the Blue Jackets though rumors are circulating that the team might move him prior to the league's trade deadline.

Sergei Fedorov could return from a concussion on Sunday, but his stay in Columbus may not be long. He is interested in being traded back to Detroit. February 26 is the deadline. "It's out of my hands, anyway. I'm part of this team and we need to get some wins and get into the playoffs. That's an exciting thought for me," Federov tells the Detroit News.

Sergei Fedorov tried to skate Friday but experienced headaches, according to the Columbus Dispatch. "We got farther down the path this time," coach Ken Hitchcock said of Fedorov. "We made it 75 percent of the way before he got the headache. So he'll take a day off and we'll start working his way back again." It looks like Fed's concussion will keep him out for at least another week.
