After recording 17 goals and 13 assists in 63 games last season, the 35-year-old Murray was bought out of his contract in July, receiving two-thirds of the $4.1 million he was slated to make in 2008-09. By doing so, Boston saved $1.38 million - which Murray now is looking to recoup.

"We have that option with all of our players, and in the [salary] cap world, it's something you sometimes must consider."

I wish it was three weeks ago. It’s been long enough. Has it been long? It’s been long, oh yeah. Patience is running out, but I want to be sure it’s right. I don’t want to be set back another couple of weeks. I’ve got no answers. I’m just going out there and doing my thing for a half-hour. Could I jump into a game now? No chance." It doesn't appear that he will be back in the mix right away. Consider him week-to-week for now.
