April 1, 2008 Kyle Okposo , the top prospect and future superstar for the New York Islanders, is reportedly going to get a strong look in the teamâs remaining nine games, according to the New York Daily News. Okposo has joined the team and will be seeing significant playing time starting tonight versus Toronto. The 7th-overall pick of the 2006 NHL entry draft, Okposo left the University of Minnesota early after signing a three-year, entry-capped contract in December, an agreement that does not take hold until next season as long as the 19-year-old phenom plays in less than 10 games.
