Sauer caught Kostitsyn with his head down in the offensive zone and hit him along the boards. Kostitsyn collapsed to the ice before slowly managing to get to his hands and knees. Although a stretcher was sent onto the ice, Kostitsyn was brandishing a swollen left eye when he got to his feet, with the help of the trainers, and was escorted to the locker room. |
