GM Bob Gainey said, "Maxim is part of our young players who contribute to the success of our team. The determination, grit and energy he brings are important assets that we are looking for in our young players."
January 27, 2007 The Canadiens recalled Maxim Lapierre from Hamilton of the AHL on Saturday, according to the AP. Lapierre scored three goals and five points in 13 games with Montreal before being assigned to Hamilton last Saturday.
