Consider the Flyers happy that they didn't move Jeff Carter when they had the chance to this season, this according to the AP. “We’ve been happy with Jeff all year,” coach John Stevens said . “Maybe at times he didn’t score as consistently as perceived he should, but he’s a very responsible defensive player. He plays in every situation possible. He’s a very fit individual, so he’s capable of playing a lot of minutes

Jeff Carter scored his 29th goal of the season on Wednesday night as he pumped seven shots on goal in the Flyers' loss. After a down sophomore season (14-23-37), Carter has responded extremely well with 29 goals and 50 points through 80 games this season. He may still have another level next season, so if you are looking to add depth at the center position come next years draft, Carter may be worth a look.

The Toronto Sun reports that Maple Leafs interim general manager Cliff Fletcher told the media the team that skates on to the ice for the season opener next October will look rather different than the one skating today. Whether the Leafs can pick up some integral pieces in free agency beginning July 1 remains to be seen, but the class of free agents this summer will not be as strong as it was in 2007. There remains talk that one restricted free agent who could get an offer sheet is Flyers winger Jeff Carter , who would have been a Leaf had Tomas Kaberle waived his no-trade clause last month.

The red-hot Jeff Carter scored two goals on Thursday night including the game-winner for the Flyers. Carter has five goals and seven points in his last four games. Carter now has a career-high 25 goals on the year as he has benefited greatly of late from the extra ice-time he is getting due to the injury to Mike Richards.
March 1, 2008
Jeff Carter scored a goal and recorded a helper in Philadelphia's 4-1 win on Saturday over the New York Islanders. Carter now has 40 points in 64 games this season, and has two goals in three games after a five-game drought.
February 21, 2008
Jeff Carter was held goalless on Thursday night for the 13th time in 14 games as he still sits on 19 markers for the year. Carter's career-high is 23 goals set in his rookie season, so he certainly has plenty of time to reach that level again this year as a nice depth player in really deep leagues.
