Alexander Steen dished out three assists on Thursday night in the Leafs 8-2 demolishing of the Bruins. Steen scored 45 points as a rookie, and followed that up with 35 points last year. He has 33 points through 63 games this year so it looks like his production will likely fall right between the numbers he posted his first two seasons.

The Maple Leafs have locked up Alexander Steen to a two-year contract extension, according to the Toronto Star. Steen, who has 11 goals and 28 points on the season, will earn $1.7 million each of the next two campaigns.

Alexander Steen scored for Toronto on Saturday night and threw in a helper assisting the Maple Leafs to a 3-1 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers. Steen nows has 11 goals and 28 points on the season.

Alexander Steen had his first non-contact practice yesterday. He's been out since just before the All-Star break with a separated shoulder. "All in all it feels good," Steen said in the Toronto Star. "Range of motion is pretty much 100 per cent back, but the strength and the pain is still an issue. We're going to wait it out. Towards the end of the week would be a realistic target for us."

Alexander Steen is expected to miss at least 10-14 days due to the shoulder injury that knocked him out of Thursday's game, according to the Toronto Star. He sustained a separated shoulder when he took a hard hit by Milan Jurcina. Steen's contributed 10 goals and 14 assists this season, but you'll need to keep him off your active roster until he recovers from the injury.

Alexander Steen was knocked out of Thursday's game when he crashed into the boards, the AP reports. Paul Maurice didn't say what Steen's injury was, but Maurice says Steen will miss the first game after the All-Star break.
