Michael Rupp (back) did not participate in practice on Thursday, but he plans to play on Friday night. "I'm trying to give myself the best chance for (tonight)," Rupp tells the Newark Star-Ledger. The Columbus Dispatch reports that Michael Rupp will soon undergo a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat first diagnosed in 2000. Rupp's heart fluttered for over an hour last week. "Ive had this condition my whole life," Rupp said. "Its completely normal. A lot of athletes have it, and a lot of regular people have it, too, and dont even know about it. I need a procedure done that will rid me of it forever. Ill have the procedure and thatll be the end of it." |
