Despite injuring his hip in Thursday's loss to the Giants, Fred Smoot expects to be ready to go in Week 2's matchup with the Saints according to the Washington Post. "I took a knee to the hip", Smoot said. "They [Washington's trainers] say nothing [is] out of place, nothing fractured. What is it? From a bruised hip bone to maybe a hip pointer or whatever they want to call it. I think I should be good."

Malcolm Kelly, who is recovering from his knee ailment, is slated to resume practicing next week and has a shot to make his regular season debut in Week 2 against the Saints, according to the Washington Post.

There was no competition," Frost said.
