Michael Strahan feels confident that he'll play again because his foot injury is not going to need surgery, the New York Post reports. If he had to undergo an operation, Strahan, 35, said the 6- to 8-month rehabilitation would have prompted him to consider retirement.

His availability for this weekend will depend on how his foot responds the rest of the week. "Michael did everything and I thought he did all right," coach Tom Coughlin said. "He did not look tentative or cautious. He moved up and down the line in nine-on-seven with no problem. Now we'll see how he feels (today)." He was upgraded from doubtful to questionable.
