Adam Vinatieri picked up his 22nd career game-winning field goal in the fourth quarter or overtime on Sunday, lifting the Colts to a 23-20 win over the Chargers. The winning kick was a 51-yarder. He also had a 23-yard field goal and a 38-yard field goal with two extra points. | September 15, 2008
Coach Tony Dungy was shocked when Adam Vinatieri missed a short field goal attempt Sunday against Minensota but was confident he was going to make the game-winner, according to the Indianapolis Star. Dungy said, "There was no doubt in anybody's mind on our sideline that he was going to make the game-winner. If it had been 55 yards, he would have made that."
