April 4, 2008 Quarterback Dennis Dixon worked out for NFL scouts at Oregons pro day, according to the Salem Statesman Journal. Dixon displayed little rust in the 45-minute workout, despite being three months removed from knee surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament. "I'm not 100 percent on the knee yet," Dixon said. "Once it comes, watch out." Dixon, who expects to be at full strength when rookies report to NFL camps in July, is totally committed to football despite the fact that he was selected in the fifth round of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft by the Atlanta Braves. Dixon is projected as a late-round pick.
