Rookie quarterback Joe Flacco guided the offense Wednesday during red-zone drills at the Baltimore Ravens’ rookie camp, and looked sharp on crossing patterns and a few designed rollouts, according to the Carroll County Times. “I’ve just got to stay in shape, get stronger, get faster and learn the offense better,” Flacco said. “It’s going to take a lot of hard work. It should be fun getting ready to go into the next month.”

Rookie first-round quarterback Joe Flacco had some impressive throws in the Baltimore Ravens’ recent mini-camp, most notably a tight spiral to receiver Demetrius Williams for a touchdown in heavy traffic during a red-zone drill, according to the Carroll County Times. Flacco’s arm strength surpassed his accuracy, but he seems to be gradually getting the hang of the offense.

Linta said on Friday, "Good meeting, moving forward. Long way to go, but making progress."

Joe Flacco and the Ravens have begun contract negotiations, according to ESPN. Agent Joe Linta arrived in Baltimore Sunday night and spent Monday with the team setting up parameters of what is expected to be a five-year deal for Flacco. The intent from both sides is to make sure Flacco arrives in training camp on time this summer, so he could compete with Kyle Boller and Troy Smith for the Ravens' starting job at quarterback. Linta added, "They want him in and he wants to be in. So the sooner that you start talking, the better chance you have of finishing before the deadline."
