49ers kicker Joe Nedney was fined $7,500 by the NFL for an obscene gesture directed at his home fans during last Sundays loss to the Saints. After Nedney made a 29-yard field goal, he kicked the ensuing kickoff out of bounds. After throwing his helmet and kicking tee he sat on the bench and rubbed the back of his head with his middle digit at a fan who had been heckling him. | December 3, 2005
