Marcus McNeill admitted he was rusty, but was pleased overall with his first outing of the season Monday night against the Jets, according to the North County Times. He started at left tackle and said, "I was a little anxious early on. I was out there just trying to hit everything, but you can't get away from your technique. I've been working on run-blocking, but you can only hit tackling dummies so many times. Those dummies always stay in the same place."

Left tackle Marcus McNeill wrapped up a full week of practice on Saturday and is ready for Week 3. He hasn't played this year due to a sore neck. "My biggest thing is I wanted to get out there and show them I was 100 percent so I could play," McNeill tells the North County Times. "You kind of leave it to the discretion of the head coach and see what he does with it."
