Mario Williams continues to battle a foot injury, and he underwent an MRI on Friday, according to the Houston Chronicle. "(The injury) is the same," coach Gary Kubiak said. "The MRI looks better. The fluid and those type of things look better, but his pain, the aggravation, hasn't changed. And that's not going to change until he rests it."

Mario Williams missed his first practice of the week on Friday, according to the New York Daily News. Williams has been battling plantar faciitis in his right foot for several weeks but remains listed as probable for tomorrow's matchup versus the Jets.

The Texans have cleared Mario Williams to take part in tomorrow's game, according to the Houston Chronicle. "Mario actually practiced a little bit and looked fine," coach Gary Kubiak said. Williams has been battling a case of plantar fasciitis in his right foot for several weeks.

Mario Williams has been playing through plantar fasciitis in his right foot the past three games, and the pain is continuing to increase, according to the Houston Chronicle. "It's getting pretty bad," said Williams. "I definitely don't want to be missing any practice time, let alone games. So something has to be done. We're going to try everything we can to try to get rid of it." Williams wears splints at night and receives treatment on his foot two or three times daily.

Mario Williams was unable to participate in the Texans' first day of minicamp and will likely miss practice today, according to the Houston Chronicle. Williams recently had the toenail removed from each of his big toes.

The Texans have locked up Mario Williams to a six-year, $54 million contract, according to ESPN. This means they'll skip a chance to take Reggie Bush and instead will select Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft on Saturday.
