Coach Gary Kubiak stated that Mario Williams had a dominant off-season, according to the Houston Chronicle. Kubiak said, "Mario was as good as any player I've ever been around in the off-season, and I've been around this game for a long time. He was just so dominant. I can't wait to see what he's going to do this season."

Defensive end Mario Williams dazzled the coaching staff during the the Texans' weekend mini-camp. Mario was impressive in this camp," head coach Gary Kubiak tells the team's official web site. "I tell you, he’s an impressive young man right now. And y’all can see it, watching him practice and how he’s going about it... That light went on for Mario somewhere last year about Week 7 or 8."

Mario Williams continues to battle a foot injury, and he underwent an MRI on Friday, according to the Houston Chronicle. "(The injury) is the same," coach Gary Kubiak said. "The MRI looks better. The fluid and those type of things look better, but his pain, the aggravation, hasn't changed. And that's not going to change until he rests it."

Mario Williams missed his first practice of the week on Friday, according to the New York Daily News. Williams has been battling plantar faciitis in his right foot for several weeks but remains listed as probable for tomorrow's matchup versus the Jets.

The Texans have cleared Mario Williams to take part in tomorrow's game, according to the Houston Chronicle. "Mario actually practiced a little bit and looked fine," coach Gary Kubiak said. Williams has been battling a case of plantar fasciitis in his right foot for several weeks.
