An MRI revealed that Samkon Gado has a torn MCL in his right knee, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Although he won't need surgery to repair it, he won't be able to play the final two games. "It's three to six weeks," coach Mike Sherman said. Tony Fisher will start this week at running back.

Samkon Gado suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee late in the first quarter of Monday night's game that prevented him from returning, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The Packers aren't sure if he'll be able to play again this season.
December 20, 2005
Samkon Gado left Monday's game against the Ravens with a knee injury and did not return, according to the AP. Gado was hurt during a two-yard rush late in the first quarter. He was treated on the field and then limped to the sideline. Gado rushed for 45 yards on six carries before departing.

Samkon Gado rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries against the Lions on Week 14. Gado now has three 100-yard games this year.

Packers coach Mike Sherman would not say Tuesday whether Sam Gado was still his starting running back, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Gado fumbled for the third time in two games on Monday night and was benched for most of the second half of that game. "I'll wait until end of the week and see how he practices," Sherman said.
November 22, 2005
Sam Gado rushed 10 times for 7 yards last night, fumbled on his first carry of the third quarter and was benched, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "I didn't play well and we didn't play well," Gado said. "I have to go back to work and make the right reads and hold on to the football."
November 13, 2005
Making his first start for the Packers, Sam Gado rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries against the Falcons. Gado also scored a third touchdown on a shovel pass. He played well enough to perhaps keep the starting job even when Tony Fisher is ready to return.
November 10, 2005
Packers coach Mike Sherman said yesterday that Samkon Gado will start at running back this weekend, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
November 8, 2005
Sam Gado did enough on Sunday to convince Packers coach Mike Sherman that he's a better choice than ReShard Lee to start Sunday's game against the Falcons if Tony Fisher can't play, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "I wouldn't say he made a splash, but he made some ripples the other day and we certainly have recognized him," Sherman said of Gado. "He has to continue to develop. He missed some cuts we would have liked to have seen him make. He still has to be considered a work in progress, but he's worth working with."
November 7, 2005
With Tony Fisher out and ReShard Lee fumbling early in the game, Sam Gado was given a chance to carry the load for the Packers on Sunday. Gado ran hard but managed only 62 yards on 26 carries, though he did score his first NFL touchdown.
