That was the highest the team drafted a quarterback since Drew Bledsoe in 2004, who went number one overall.
December 29, 2006 Matt Cassel has taken some first-team snaps this week with Tom Brady missing time, the Boston Herald reports. Although the Patriots have not come out and dictated their plan, it seems very possible that Cassel will get a chunk of playing time Sunday at Tennessee.
