I felt good throughout camp and just coming in today, every now and then I got a little soreness. I expected a little bit of that during the game, but coming out I felt really good. I was surprised. It's kind of like, 'Hold on. Where the soreness at?"

Ronnie Brown has been participating in all of the Dolphins' practices so far according to the Sun-Sentinel. Coach Tony Sparano doesn't think his running back has been favoring the surgically repaired knee. Sparano said, "I really didn't notice it out here. I think maybe just a little bit stiff. Those type of things. I didn't notice it that way. We got him out there. We got him involved, tried to get him going early that way during the course of practice. Again, you know, with Ronnie, I'm sure it's going to be a little bit of a slow process here. We got three solid practices out of him and then he came out here today. It was a little stiff. We got the fourth solid practice out of him. I think Ronnie will be fine. It's going to take us a little bit time to get to where we need to be."

Coach Tony Sparano said, "I just know what I see, and what I see is that Ronnie is no different than Joey Porter, Vonnie Holliday and those people right now. From a training standpoint, he's done a wonderful job in the offseason program and really has done a great job with head athletic trainer Kevin O'Neill and his people here from a medical standpoint. He's out there, he's getting a little bit of work in right now and we're going to take it easy with him and see where it goes."

Head coach Tony Sparano, who was the Dallas Cowboys running-game coordinator last year, has no qualms about finding ways to get Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams to share the backfield workload, according to the Palm Beach Post. "I think it's a good problem," Sparano said. "My experiences have been obviously in Dallas to have a couple of those guys ready to play. In our league you're seeing less and less of that one back, that guy that's doing it all the time. I don't really know how each one of them may complement one another right now until we get out on the field and we see them. So they know that there's competition there as well. Ronnie knows that. Ricky knows that." Sparano is also high on Lorenzo Booker, making the Miami backfield situation look very muddy heading into the 2008 season.

According to a story in the Miami Herald, executive vice president of football operations, Bill Parcells, stated the he was wasn’t overly excited by RB Darren McFadden’s prospects at the professional level. Reportedly, Parcells made this statement to co-workers at EPSN prior to leaving his studio job to accept the front office gig with Miami. We all know that smokescreens are in the air during this time of the year, but we expect Parcells to start his tenure by rebuilding the Dolphins from the inside out, meaning he will probably burn that 1.01 pick on a player in the trenches.
February 21, 2008
Miami Dolphins executive vice president of football operations Bill Parcells said that RB Ronnie Brown’s rehabilitation is going very well and he should be back in the fold by training camp, according to the Miami Herald. Brown, who underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL on Nov.1, was having the best season of his young career in 2007, prior to going down with the injury. Normally running backs returning from major reconstructive knee surgery take a full season to get their legs back under them, so don’t reach too early for Brown on draft day.
