Chris Perry, on the PUP list while recovering from an ankle injury, was cleared for practice Tuesday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. The Bengals now have a three-week window in which Perry does not count against their roster to determine if he can help them yet this season.

Chris Perry probably will miss at least the first six games this season. He's expected to be placed on the PUP list, which means he'll have to be inactive until at least Week 7, according to the Cincinnati Post. Perry is recovering from a broken foot sustained last season. If Kenny Irons does well in training camp, he should replace Perry as the primary backup to Rudi Johnson. | January 3, 2007
