Since the Baltimore Ravens haven’t been in touch with free agent running back Musa Smith, the team is expected to attempt to find running back depth during the second day of the draft, according to the Carroll County Times. “No doubt, we need another back,” Ravens’ director of college scouting Eric DeCosta said. “Whether we take one in the first round or the seventh round, we’re definitely going to look at our options because it is a strong class.”

Last season, he started one game posting 74 carries for 264 yards and two scores on the ground, while chipping in 27 receptions, 192 yards and one score in the passing game.

Musa Smith doesn’t have any visits currently scheduled, and would like to remain in Baltimore, according to the Carroll County Times. “We’re in a wait-and-see mode with Musa,” said Jack Reale, Smith’s agent. “Musa’s a good football player and he would love to be back with Baltimore. Hopefully, something can be worked out.” Baltimore recently released running back Mike Anderson, so if Smith can stick in Baltimore he would have a chance to backup Willis McGahee in 2008.
