As expected, the Jets placed Jesse Chatman on IR Tuesday. He suffered a knee injury on special teams in Sunday's win over the Chiefs.

Jesse Chatman is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to the New York Daily News. He was injured on a kickoff late in Sunday's game against Kansas City.

Jesse Chatman has been activated by the Jets after serving a four-game suspension, according to the Star-Ledger.

The Jets were granted a roster exemption to add Jesse Chatman after serving his four game suspension according to NFL.com. “He’ll be able to work through the week with a (roster) exemption,” said Jets coach Eric Mangini. “Then starting next week, we’ll have to make some kind of decision in terms of the roster. But that, again, won’t be until next week.”

Jets running back Jesse Chatman was suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league's steroids policy, according to the New York Post. However, Chatman's agent, Brett Tessler, claims that his client did not test positive for any substance, saying, "Jesse never tested positive for a steroid or any other performance-enhancing drug. Near the end of last season, the league claimed he had a diuretic in his system that they said could also be used as a masking agent."
