Bubba Franks had a mixed bag of results Thursday against the Vikings. His 43 yards receiving were a season high, but he dropped two other passes and also had a critical late fumble that almost cost the Packers the game. Franks has yet to score a touchdown in 2006, a clear sign that his fantasy-relevant days are essentially done. | November 7, 2006
Bubba Franks is fighting through a wrist injury, according to the Packers official site. In the meantime David Martin has become the team's more reliable pass-catcher at the position; Martin has 10 catches for 130 yards and two scores over the last three weeks, while Franks has just 18 yards over the same span and hasn't scored all year. Franks also dropped a couple of passes in Week 9, though according to head coach Mike McCarthy one of them was a tipped ball. |
