Fred Taylor has a good track record against the Browns, as he is averaging 154 yards over three career games, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Browns' linebacker Andra Davis said, "He's a heck of a back. He has the total package. It's fun watching a guy like that, especially a guy you know well. You wish him success when he's playing against other teams, but I definitely don't want him to have any success this week." Taylor and Davis were notably teammates for one year at the University of Florida.

The Florida Times-Union reports that Fred Taylor suffered another concussion in last Sunday's game. He has been fitted with a new, bulkier helmet that should prevent the injury from recurring. "I'm fine, man. If you don't suffer a slight concussion playing football, you're doing something wrong," Taylor jokingly said. He did not practice on Wednesday.

Fred Taylor has apologized to team owner Wayne Weaver for his arrest on a disorderly conduct charge over the weekend, according to the AP. He said the whole incident was "very, very petty," and he added, "I’m not going to get into any details. It’s an awkward situation, but I really do, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, want to apologize to the Weavers and this organization for this type of press. It’s never really good when it’s in the negative light."

The Miami Herald indicates that Fred Taylor has been arrested outside a Miami Beach nightclub on charges of disorderly conduct. Taylor was not taken to jail, according to Detective Juan Sanchez, a spokesman for the Miami Beach Police Department. He was instead released outside of Club Cristal on Fifth Street on his own recognizance with a promise to appear in court.

Fred Taylor is 32-years old, but hasn't lost his quickness during the Jaguars' two-day mini-camp and believes he is still on top of his game, according to Jaguars.com. Taylor commented, "I feel good. I feel real good. I can do it all still. I still think I’m an every-downs back, but because we have a guy the caliber of Maurice Jones-Drew, there’s no need for it."

Fred Taylor was the AFC leading rusher among running backs. Taylor carried the ball three times for 15-yards. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger led the AFC in rushing with his one carry for 18-yards. Fred's first Pro Bowl wasn't a memorable one from a statistical standpoint.
