Ahman Green said he feels hurt that the Packers haven’t offered him a contract extension, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette. Green’s contract expires after this season, and he believes he deserves a new deal even though he was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 25 with a ruptured quadriceps tendon and might never be the same player.

There's a chance that Ahman Green has played his last game for the Packers, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. His five-year, $21.57 million contract expires after this season, and the Packers' front office hasn't made any attempt to sign him to an extension. Green's rehabilitation from a season-ending torn thigh tendon will probably last throughout much of the offseason, and it won't be known until late spring or early summer whether he'll be the same player.

ESPN reports that Ahman Green will miss the rest of the season with a torn thigh tendon. The Packers are already without Najeh Davenport for the year, so Tony Fisher and ReShard Lee will have to carry the load, barring the addition of a free agent.
October 24, 2005
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Ahman Green aggravated his thigh injury yesterday. "He reinjured his quad tendon severely," coach Mike Sherman said. "We will evaluate that further when we get back." It appears he may be out a while, which would leave Tony Fisher as the Packers' starting running back.

Even though Ahman Green practiced for the fourth day this week on Friday, coach Mike Sherman refused to commit to him as the starter, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "He was limited in some capacity," Sherman said. "I believe he's very eager to play. I want to see how he feels tomorrow."
October 21, 2005
Ahman Green practiced again on Thursday but remains listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Vikings, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette. He's suffering from a strained thigh.
October 18, 2005
Ahman Green resumed practice Monday for the first time since he suffered a thigh strain two weeks ago in Carolina and appeared both quick and explosive, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Packers coach Mike Sherman said Green looked "OK" but wouldn't commit to him as the starter against Minnesota this weekend.
October 8, 2005
Ahman Green is not expected to play this weekend, though he should be ready to return from his quadriceps injury for Week 7 after the Packers' bye next week, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Najeh Davenport will start in place of Green.
October 7, 2005
Ahman Green did not practice again on Thursday with the quadriceps tendon injury that forced him to sit in the second half of Monday's game, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Green remains questionable for Sunday.
