Heat re-sign Wright Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat re-signed guard/forward Dorell
Wright to an undisclosed contract Thursday.
Wright, who originally signed with the Heat after being drafted in the first
round in the 2004 NBA Draft, has appeared in 133 games during his four-year
NBA career, averaging 6.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
During the 2007-08 season, Wright appeared in 44 games (34 starts) and set
career-highs by averaging 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and just under one block

Mario Chalmers was endorsed by Dwaye Wade as the starting point guard for the Heat next year, but that is not a foregone conclusion, as he will have to battle it out with Marcus Banks for the job, according to the Miami Herald.
Olympian Dwayne Wade praised new Heat teammate Mario Chalmers, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Wade said, "I really believe in our point guard, Mario Chalmers. I think he can be great for us and surprise a lot of people."
