Rose expected to undergo MRI for ailing knee Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose has tendinitis
in his right knee and the Chicago Tribune says the rookie will undergo an MRI
exam.
Rose, the first overall pick in last month's draft, missed the Bulls' final
three Summer League games in Orlando because of the problem.
The Memphis product scored 10 points in his first game on Monday, but appeared
to aggravate his knee injury on a jump-stop in the lane on Tuesday. He
finished with 19 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds in his two games.... More...
Yahoo! Sports reports that Luol Deng has set an August 4th deadline to reach a long-term agreement with the Bulls. If a deal is not negotiated, he will take the one year qualifying offer of $4.5 million and become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. If that is the case, Deng is not expected to ever negotiate with the Bulls again.
Derrick Rose pleaded guilty Monday to driving more than 40 mph over the speed limit on an Illinois highway back in April, according to the AP. Kane County Associate Judge Robert J. Morrow ordered Rose to pay a $1,000 fine and attend traffic school, according to the countys states attorneys office.
