Kevin Garnett wore a brace on his left knee during Friday's victory over the Heat. "Wins always make the body feel better," KG told the Boston Globe. Garnett's battled sore knees at times during the past couple of seasons. This isn't anything to be concerned about right now but is something to keep any eye on down the road.

Kevin Garnett was limited to 22 minutes in Thursday's 45-point win over the Knicks. Doc Rivers openly admits that he's been playing his key guys too many minutes so far this season; on this night, he was able to get plenty of rest for his Big 3 (Ray Allen and Paul Pierce both played 29 minutes). "I can't even remember having that much rest," Garnett told the AP. "It's good, because we have back-to-back games. Rest is important at this time."

Boston got big nights from its big three in Wednesday’s victory over the Nuggets, led by Kevin Garnett’s 23 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, four steals and a blocked shot.

Kevin Garnett looked OK in his Celtics' debut on Friday night. All the fantasy monster did was hit 9-of-17 attempts from the field and all four free throw tries for 22 points, while swiping 20 boards. He also dished out five dimes, blocked three shots and snagged three steals. Paul Pierce tossed in 28 points, and Ray Allen another 17 in an easy win over the Wiz. There should be plenty more where that came from as KG begins his domination of the Eastern Conference.

The trade which sent Kevin Garnett to Boston is now complete. The Boston Herald reported on Tuesday that Garnett agreed to a three-year contract extension beyond the two years remaining on his current deal—the final piece to the puzzle to consummate the trade. Garnett goes to Boston, while the Timberwolves receive Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Ryan Gomes, and two future first-round draft picks—including the one Minnesota originally sent to Boston as part of the Wally Szczerbiak deal.

All-Star forward Kevin Garnett has been traded by the Timberwolves to the Celtics in a multi-player deal, the Associated Press reported on Monday. A Celtics official told the AP that the deal was agreed to but had yet to be completed, and that it could include Al Jefferson, Sebastian Telfair, Gerald Green, Theo Ratliff, and at least one draft choice. The move immediately makes Boston a contender in the Eastern Conference with Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen all in the fold for next season.

Although a two-way trade between Minnesota and Boston was reported dead, a source told the Boston Herald that the two sides are still interested in pursuing the matter. A trade that would have sent Al Jefferson and the No. 5 pick to the Wolves for Kevin Garnett was deemed dead after Garnett’s agent said KG would opt out of his contract after next season, but a source told the Herald that it could have just been posturing. The Celtics would demand Garnett sign a contract extension in order to accept a trade.

Although a trade was reportedly agreed upon by the Timberwolves and Celtics, Kevin Garnett does not want to play in Boston and said he would opt out of his contract after next season if the deal went through, according to ESPN.com. The Celtics pulled a deal off the table that would have sent Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff, Wally Szczerbiak, Sebastian Telfair, and the No. 5 overall pick to Minnesota for Garnett and Troy Hudson after getting word that Garnett was not interested in staying in Boston for more than next season "The Boston trade isn't happening," Garnett's agent, Andy Miller, told ESPN.com. "If a trade were to happen, that's not a destination that we're interested in pursuing." The only place Garnett reportedly would be willing to be traded is Phoenix.
June 19, 2007
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics have talked trade in regards to Wolves superstar Kevin Garnett. Celtics director of basketball operations Danny Ainge told the Boston Herald that the two sides have discussed Garnett, but would not comment about a published report that had Boston sending Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff and the fifth pick in the upcoming NBA draft for Garnett. Ainge said that so far he has not heard a proposal that would make him part with the No. 5 pick.

The right quadriceps injury that supposedly cost Kevin Garnett the final five games of the season is back to 100 percent. Wolves vice president of basketball operations Kevin McHale told the AP that the muscle has been back to full strength since the week after the season ended. McHale also stressed that he wanted to see Garnett’s minutes drop to 35 per game. KG hasn’t averaged less than 38 minutes per game since his rookie season.
April 20, 2007
Kevin McHale will return as Minnesota's vice president of basketball operations next season, and he plans on bringing Kevin Garnett and coach Randy Wittman back with him, the AP reports. "I don't want to walk away with the team in this state," said McHale, who said this year's team resembled the "dysfunctional" squad he inherited when he was named vice president in 1995. Garnett, for what it's worth, has an opt-out clause in his contract after next season

Kevin Garnett is listed as doubtful for tonight's game due to his quadriceps injury, according to the Pioneer Press. It would be surprising to see him play again this season, but you never know.
April 15, 2007
As expected, Kevin Garnett did not play against Golden State on Sunday because of his quad injury, according to the AP. Coach Randy Wittman is hoping that Garnett will play again this season, but it wouldn't at all be a surprise if that didn't happen.
April 15, 2007
T-Wolves coach Randy Wittman said Kevin Garnett will not play today due to his quad injury, according to the Pioneer Press. Even though Wittman said he holds out hope that KG might play again this season, there's absolutely no reason why he should play.
April 11, 2007
Kevin Garnett is out indefinitely with an injured right quadriceps, according to the AP. Vice president of basketball operations Kevin McHale said Wednesday night that the injury has bothered Garnett for months, and that Garnett and his agent decided it was time to shut it down. January 20, 2007
Kevin Garnett threw a ball at Detroit's Antonio McDyess in the fourth quarter Friday night, leading to an angry tangle and technical fouls and ejections for both players, according to the AP. Garnett was mad because McDyess agave a forearm shiver to knock over Minnesota's Mark Madsen while they were underneath the basket jockeying for position on a rebound. No punches were thrown, but both players could face a one or two game suspension for their actions.
