Steve Francis was traded on Wednesday to the Memphis Grizzlies, according to ESPN. The Rockets received a conditional second round draft pick in 2011. They also agreed to pay the remaining $2.6 million of Francis' contract for this season and sent Memphis back their 2009 second round pick that the Rockets acquired on draft day last June.

Steve Francis was active Wednesday for the first time since undergoing knee surgery in February, according to the Houston Chronicle. He is nearing his return to the court and said, "That’s what I’m looking forward to. I know it’s a gradual process. If I don’t get in, I don’t. I’m not really worried about that. Steve Francis has been cleared for the non-contact portion of camp, according to the Houston Chronicle. He is trying to come back from right knee surgery he underwent last February. The former All-Star said, "It’s way more than I’ve been doing. Just being around the guys, I think, is going to mentally help. Plus, I forgot the plays. It’s going to be great for me."

Rockets guard Steve Francis says he is still not 100 percent and is still rehabbing from his torn quad tendon, according to Rockets.com. "The surgery I had, they say it normally takes people about a year to come back. I'm at month six and hopefully within the next three to four weeks I'll be ready to go," he said.
