Atlanta point guard Mike Bibby might not be a Hawk for the entire 2008-2009 season. Reports in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Bibby might become a huge trade chip if the Hawks don't want to resign him after the season.
September 16, 2008
Atlanta point guard Mike Bibby has resumed working out in preparation for the team's upcoming training camp, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I got here Friday and it was a good run for me, trying to get into that flow again," Bibby said.
April 15, 2008
Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson and the rest of the starting crew took the floor for the opening tip off in Tuesday night's game against the Magic.
April 5, 2008
Atlanta PG Mike Bibby seemed to be rolling into form, having scored an average of 20 points over his last nine games heading into last night's battle with Philadelphia. Then the wheels fell off as Bibby went 1-of-11 from the field and 1-of-4 from three-point range, never reaching the foul line in 39 minutes of play to score just 3 points. Atlanta is fighting to stay in front of Indiana for the 8th and final playoff spot in the East, and Bibby was brought in via trade to make that a reality. Look for him to come out with scoring on the mind today as the Hawks get that rematch with Philly on the floor.

Good news for an Atlanta Hawk team that is fighting for their Eastern Conference playoff lives. The results of Thursday's MRI exam on the injured thumb of Mike Bibby were negative, and the Hawks point guard is expected to play Friday against Chicago, this according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Bibby injured his left thumb in Wednesday's win over Milwaukee. He left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return.
March 27, 2008
On Wednesday night Hawks' point guard Mike Bibby sprained his thumb during Atlanta's 115-96 win over the Bucks. The bad news is that it's the same thumb he had surgery on earlier this season. The guard is expected to undergo tests today to determine the extent of the injury.

PG Mike Bibby shined in more ways than one for the Hawks in their 117-93 victory over the LA Clippers this evening, scoring 14 points with 14 assists on the evening. Since joining the Hawks, Bibby's talents from three-point range have not shown as hoped, but his ability to pass and set for other hot young shooters is just as beneficial.
February 27, 2008
Mike Bibby scored 24 points and dished off 12 assists in the Hawks 123-117 victory over his former team. Apparently Bibby was just saving his best for the home audience as he was tremendous tonight after really struggling his first couple of games for Atlanta.
February 25, 2008
Mike Bibby was horrible on Monday night as he made just 1 of 11 shots to score two points for the Hawks. We applaud the guy for trying to play through his heel injury, but nights like this have a huge negative effect on fantasy squads. He did pull in five boards and dish out five assists, but two points and four turnovers easily negate that positive.

Mike Bibby, who is playing through a right heel injury, might have his minutes reduced to preserve his health, reports AJC.com. "I'm not going to play him for long stretches to make sure he has something at the end of games," Woodson said. "My concern is that we always praise our bench, but now that it's changed dramatically, we've got to make sure we're getting the production we need there." Acie Law would figure to see more minutes if Bibby's workload is reduced.
February 20, 2008
The Hawks have said that Mike Bibby is questionable for tonight's game due to a heel injury. However, Bibby intends on suiting up. "I'll be ready to go," he said to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Bibby injured the heel in his debut with the Hawks Tuesday. He's got some added incentive to take the court tonight, as Atlanta is squaring off against Sacramento, Bibby's former team.
February 20, 2008
Mike Bibby scored just five points in his debut with the Hawks on Tuesday and was limited to only 16 minutes of play due to a heel injury, according to the Atlanta Journal-Sentinel. The Lakers were busy humiliating the Hawks by the second quarter, so there was no reason to send Bibby back out on the court. It would be pretty surprising if he wasn't prepared to hit the hardwood to face his former team, the Kings, on Wednesday.
February 18, 2008
Mike Bibby met his new teammates on Monday according to a report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Bibby was only able to partake in half the practice since the deal wasn't official at the start of things, but that doesn't mean that there wasn't plenty of optimism to go around. "It's a new ball game," Josh Smith said. "We're in a unique position right now, with a chance to sort of reinvent ourselves on the fly here, and guys have to be ready to take advantage of it." Bibby will give the team the point guard that it has lacked and the team hopes that he can spearhead a run to the playoffs.
February 16, 2008
The Sacramento Bee is reporting that the Kings and Hawks have agreed in principle to a deal that will send Mike Bibby to Atlanta. The King will receive guards Anthony Johnson and Tyronn Lue and forwards Sheldon Williams and Lorenzen Wright. Bibby should take on much more of a traditional point guard role with the Hawks, who have Joe Johnson at the off guard spot. Johnson may now need to share more of the scoring load. Back in Sacramento, Beno Udrih should move back into the starting lineup, where he averaged roughly 14 points, five assists, four boards, a three, and a steal per night.
January 17, 2008
Kings point guard Mike Bibby made his season debut off the bench on Wednesday, contributing 19 points and six rebounds in 29 minutes. He missed the first 36 games of the season with a torn ligament in his thumb.
January 14, 2008
All signs point to Mike Bibby returning to action this week. "We've got Mike (Bibby) coming back, I believe, on Wednesday," coach Reggie Theus told the Sacramento Bee. Bibby has been out all season while recovering from surgery that repaired a torn ligament in his left thumb, but it's just about time to get him into your starting lineups.
January 5, 2008
Mike Bibby is aiming to return to action within 10 days. With his return from thumb surgery on the horizon, so too are trade rumors, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The Kings would like to move on without Bibby, and the Cavs desperately need a ballhandler who can shoot. That's why there were rumors he might be dealt to Cleveland during the offseason, and you can expect more of that talk once Bibby takes the floor again.
