June 18, 2008 The Nets hold the No. 10 pick in the upcoming draft, and the Newark Star-Ledger figures the team will be looking at forward Danilo Gallinari, center Brook Lopez, and guard Russell Westbrook, in that order. Anthony Randolph may also be in the picture, but the Nets prefer Gallinari.
May 9, 2008 The Nets have promoted Kiki Vandeweghe from special assistant to general manager. "We've still got a lot of work to do, which I'm excited about. I'm looking forward to getting right at it," Vandeweghe tells the New York Post. He received a two-year deal worth roughly $3 million.
