Larry Hughes said yesterday that his sprained ankle still is not 100 percent, so he asked coach Mike Brown to limit his minutes, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I'm going to try to take it back a little," Hughes said. "It's not getting any worse but it's not moving as fast as I want it to move, so I'll play less minutes and rest it more during off days and get it to where I can be myself." Hughes is aiming to play closer to 30 minutes a game than 40.

Larry Hughes still is dealing with last season's broken finger injury, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Although most of the pain and swelling is gone, he can't make a fist or palm a ball. "I don't have any problems shooting the ball," Hughes said. "I can control the ball with my palm when dribbling. You really don't need a fist when rebounding or sticking my hand on while playing defense. My mind is set that this is how my finger's going to be for the rest of my career. I think I can deal with it." Nonetheless, Hughes is one of the most injury-prone guys in the league, so not being 100 percent now is not a good sign.
