Chicago receives Larry Hughes , Drew Gooden, Cedric Simmons and Shannon Brown. The Sonics will receive Adrian Griffin, Donyell Marshall and Ira Newble according to a report on the AP. Hughes hasn't been able to consistently produce numbers that are reflective of his talents, which when coupled with in inability to stay healthy led to this trade. This season Hughes is averaging his lowest point (12.3) and minutes played per game (30:11) marks since 2001-02. The change of scenery appears to be just what Hughes needs to kick start his dormant game though minutes may be tough to come by in a crowded Bulls backcourt. |

Hughes blew up in the third period when he scored 23 points, more than double his season scoring average entering the game (10.8). The Cavaliers could really use Hughes in support of LeBron James, but thus far this season Hughes has been injured and producing numbers well below his career averages. Perhaps this will be the jump start he needs. |
