July 5, 2008 The signing of Chris Duhon will allow the Knicks to part ways with Stephon Marbury, according to the New York Times. Sources informed the paper that Marbury's departure is a near certainty. It isn't known if he'll be bought out, traded, or waived.
June 23, 2008 According to the New York Post, Stephon Marbury feels he has a new lease on his Knicks career with Mike D'Antoni as his new coach. "I'm full throttle," Marbury said. "It's the way I play - up and down. Seven seconds or less. How can I not fit into that? You can push the ball. He's a guard's coach. I still have four, five years at a high level. I'm only 31, not 41."
May 29, 2008 The Knicks appear to be in the market for a new point guard, either in the draft or via a trade, Newsday reports. The club holds the No. 6 pick in the draft. Italian forward Danilo Gallinari is on their radar, but the Knicks may also look at point guards Russell Westbrook and D.J. Augustin. Trade possibilities include T.J. Ford (Raptors) or Kyle Lowry (Grizzlies). The Newsday report suggests the Knicks may not keep Stephon Marbury around.
