Player Notes
December 16, 2007
As expected, Ray Allen skipped Sunday's game to rest his sore right ankle. However, he should be back in the mix for Wednesday's game, according to the AP. "He'll practice on Tuesday and play on Wednesday, I'm pretty sure of that," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. "You never know, but I'm pretty much sure." You'll want to check to see if he's able to get through Tuesday's session before sticking him in your lineup for Wednesday.

Ray Allen didn't travel with the Celtics to Toronto on Saturday. He'll miss his second straght game due to a sore right ankle, according to the Boston Globe. It's not clear when the veteran will be ready to hit the hardwood again.
December 15, 2007
Ray Allen was held out of Friday's game due to a sore right ankle. "My recommendation was to sit him [last night] and maybe even [tomorrow]," coach Doc Rivers told the Boston Globe. "And then we have two days off after that and we'll go from there." It's a bit concerning because Allen missed the end of last season with an injury to his right foot and had bone spurs removed from both ankles during the offseason. Don't panic, yet, as it could be something minor that could heal with rest.

But my body is feeling great.”

Damien Wilkins is expected to start in Allen's place for the remainder of the season.

Allen has not practiced in more than a week, but declined to reveal the severity of his injury to teammates and the media; he did not play Thursday against the Clippers. "I had pain shooting up the side of my leg like a bone spur," Allen explained. "I would feel it from time to time and then it would go away. Right now, it's staying put. It won't subside. So when I run, I feel it coming up inside my leg."
