October 19, 2008 Walter Sharpe had one of his best practices Sunday, according to the Detroit News. While coming off a sore left knee, he was extremely energetic and productive in the 30-minute, full-court scrimmage. Coach Michael Curry said, "He'd been on vacation for a few days, he should feel good. Walt's been good. He played 24 minutes in the San Antonio game and graded out at 93 (out of 100) defensively. That tells me he's picked up our coverages and he's locked in to what we're doing."
September 16, 2008 It seems that Pistons second-round selection Walter Sharpe will not put in time in the NBA's Developmental League this season, instead spending it on the Pistons roster, according to the Detroit News. "Walter will benefit more from being in this structure every day," said Detroit coach Michael Curry.
