While the box score may not reveal just how potent his efforts were in giving the Orlando Magic a 3-1 series lead over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, point guard Jameer Nelson was the straw that broke the Raptors' back with a late-game flurry that sealed the win, according to SLAM Sports. Nelson was given a full tongue lashing from coach Stan Van Gundy at the end of the third quarter, telling him, "You've got no aggressiveness." After the game, Van Gundy admitted he was trying to light a fire under the point guard, and it worked. Nelson scored 10 consecutive in a four-minute span to end the game and seal the win for his team.

It was just a jaw contusion; it was not a concussion," Coach Stan Van Gundy said. Considering how big Howard is, Nelson's lucky that's the only injury he sustained. Nelson's been banged up all year long, so let's hope he can return quickly from his latest injury.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports that Jameer Nelson described his year as his most injury-filled season of his basketball career. Nelson has missed 10 games with the following: concussion, back strain, strained tendon in his right foot, strained right hamstring, notes the report. "This is probably the healthiest I've been in a long time," Nelson said before the game. "I had injuries nobody knew about, as far as the media was concerned, and I tried to play through it. "I never make excuses," he said, "and when I step on the court, I play to the best of my ability." The Magic guard is averaging 11 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists per game.

Jameer Nelson will return to the starting lineup on Friday, replacing Carlos Arroyo at the point, according to the Orlando Sentinel. "We'll go back to him," coach Stan Van Gundy said. Nelson can provide decent fantasy value when hot, and he'll get a chance to get back on his game now. He's on plenty of waiver wires at the moment and is worth picking up to see if he can get on a roll.

Jameer Nelson has made a mini-comeback to reclaim his starting job according to the Orlando Sentinel. Nelson replaced Carlos Arroyo, who started for the 10th consecutive time on Wednesday night, but when the offense struggled Nelson got his chance. Head coach Stan Van started Nelson over Arroyo in the second half, a sign that the job will return to Jameer.

Van Gundy also pointed out that Nelson's not quite in "game form" after just returning from a sprained foot on Wednesday. Nelson should work his way back into the starting rotation once he's up to speed, but for now, he'll see his action limited.

Jameer Nelson missed his fifth straight game Sunday due to a sore foot, but he hopes to be ready to go on Wednesday, according to the Orlando Sentinel. "I'll practice this week and see how it feels," he said. "I want to play. I wanted to play [Sunday]." Although he sounded positive in that statement, he added that the strained tendon in his foot feels similar to the mid-foot sprain that cost him 20 games two seasons ago. We'll have to wait to see how he holds up in practice before speculating about whether he'll actually lace 'em up for Wednesday's run.

He's listed as doubtful for Sunday's run with the Celtics, so it appears it may be a while longer before we see him back in action.
