Josh Childress has left the Hawks and the NBA as he decided to sign with Olympiakos of Greece, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He agreed to a three-year deal worth more than the $20 million he was seeking to remain in the NBA.

Josh Childress will be a restricted free agent this summer, but he'd like to stay in Atlanta. "We have to make sure that we all stick together," Childress tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "That is something that is going to come up this summer. So something that I think we all have to take a look at. If we are going to be good, we have to stay together."

In a full team effort, Atlanta shooting forward Josh Childress came off the bench to hit 7-of-12 from the field and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe for 20 points, adding five assists, four steals, and three rebounds in a strong performance that helped the Hawks to a 115-96 win over Milwaukee. Childress is one of the best bench options in th league and showed why this evening. He won't give you these numbers each and every night, but he's certainly capable of putting a good night on the board.

Hawks swingman Josh Childress has a bone bruise on his right knee and didn't play in Wednesday's game against the Bobcats, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Childress hyperextended his knee late in the third quarter of Tuesday's loss to Detroit. "He'll get it evaluated again Monday [the day Hawks depart for a five-game road trip]," Hawks coach Mike Woodson said, "and we'll see how it goes from there."

Josh Childress flew back to Atlanta Wednesday to have an MRI exam on his right knee and is expected to miss Wednesday's game against the Bobcats. Childress hyperextended his knee late in Tuesday's game. "We don't think it's anything too serious," Childress told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "But they wanted me to get it checked out just to be safe."

Josh Childress scored 18 points to lead the Hawks on Saturday night despite making only four shots from he field (he had 10 free throws). Childress, who is averaging just over 12 points per game, has picked up his play over the past two weeks averaging 15.3 points over his last seven contests.
