Ben Gordon poured in a season-high 34 points in Saturday's win over Charlotte. Gordon, who entered the night shooting less than 37 percent from the floor, made 13-of-21 shots including five from behind the arc.

Bulls guard Ben Gordon will not play in back-to-back games this weekend as he continues to recover from a sprained right ankle. Coach Scott Skiles told the Chicago Tribune that if it were opening night, Gordon would play.

Ben Gordon was expected to have his sore little left toe X-rayed after Monday's loss to Orlando, the AP reports. He has a soft corn that has been bothering him for about a week and has been taking pain medication so he can play. Gordon didn't look bothered by much of anything Monday; he finished the game with 32 points (including four 3-pointers) and five assists.

Ben Gordon received a painkilling shot prior to yesterday's game to help alleviate the pain of what the Bulls dubbed a soft corn below his left pinky toe, according to the Chicago Tribune. "I don't even know what's wrong with it," Gordon said. "I need to get an X-ray to make sure it's not broken. It's real painful and hard to push off. I don't know if it got infected. It's one of those weird injuries." He kept the Bulls in yesterday's eventual loss to the Pistons, but clearly this could affect his status this week.

Ben Gordon was able to practice despite his bruised thigh on Wednesday, according to the Chicago Tribune. It looks like he will be able to take part in Thursday's game versus the Cavs.

The Bulls played much of the third quarter on Tuesday without Ben Gordon, who suffered a left thigh bruise when he was fouled by Royal Ivey early in the quarter, according to the AP. Gordon never returned and finished with six points but said after the game he was available if needed.
