(Sports Network) - It's a good thing the Minnesota Twins don't play in the
American League East.
The Twins ventured into Yankee Stadium this week and got swept right out of
town by the Bronx Bombers. It was the seventh straight time Minnesota has lost
a series at Yankee Stadium, as they've lost 19 of 22 there during that span.
Just prior to the All-Star break they went into Fenway Park for a three-game
set with the Boston Red Sox, and got swept.

Francisco Liriano could get called up from Triple-A Rochester soon, but the Twins may use him in the bullpen rather than the rotation, according to the Star Tribune.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Adam Everett went 1-for-3 with the go-ahead single for Triple-A Rochester on Thursday. Everett will play five games with Rochester batting second and playing shortstop. He is recovering from shoulder tendinitis.
Since returning from the DL, Scott Baker has made nine starts. In those starts, his ERA is 2.79 and his WHIP is 1.06. For the year, he has a 3.26 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP to go with a 6-3 record.
