Indians send reliever Mastny to minors Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians recalled pitcher Tom
Mastny from Triple-A Buffalo and placed pitcher Scott Elarton on the
restricted list on Monday.
During stints with Cleveland from April 15-May 11 and June 2-4 earlier this
season, Mastny made three appearances, including one start, he posted a record
of 0-1 and a 21.00 earned-run average.
In his three-year career, all with Cleveland, he has appeared in 69 games and
has a record of 7-4 with a 5.49 ERA.

Joe Borowski's role as closer will be the subject of talks among Indians management on today's off day, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Manager Eric Wedge would not say if Masa Kobayashi will take over that role. "I'm not going to speculate on that. It takes us down a road that doesn't do anyone any good," he said.
