| September 28, 2006 Although manager Jim Tracy had stated previously that Ian Snell would pitch again Sunday if he didn't earn his 15th victory Tuesday (which he didn't), it now appears that Snell will be shut down because of mild tightness in his right forearm, according to the Tribune-Review. "It's like I said, 15 wins is not going to make or break my season," Snell said. "I've proven enough -- to myself and other people -- that I can pitch in the majors as a starter. I'll have other chances to win 15 games, I promise." Shane Youman will likely start for the Bucs on Sunday. |
