Mike Gonzalez picked up his first save of the year on Sunday against the Dodgers, pitching a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and striking out one. With Bob Wickman on the disabled list, it's apparent that manager Bobby Cox plans to use both Gonzalez and Rafael Soriano in the ninth inning. With Bob Wickman landing on the disabled list, Mike Gonzalez is the favorite to handle the closing duties for the Braves, having notched 24 saves for the Pirates in 2006. However, nothing is set in stone, and it's also possible that Rafael Soriano could get a look in the ninth inning, as well.
