ESPN is reporting that Kenny Rogers will not pitch again this year for the Tigers.

Kenny Rogers wiggled his way through four innings on Sunday night before he allowed five runs in the fifth inning against the White Sox. All told, Rogers allowed eight hits and two walks which led to seven runs in just 4.2 innings of work.

"Kenny knows exactly how he goes about his business," manager Jim Leyland said. "He knows how to prepare himself." Rogers will have to once again prove himself after throwing only 63 innings last season, the lowest total of his career. Rogers can still win games but it's been three years since he totaled 100 K and his WHIP hasn't been below 1.26 since 1998, so tread carefully.
