| April 5, 2008 The Cincinnati Reds report RHP Matt Belisle will make his first rehabilitation start today, taking the mound for Class A Sarasota when they play host to Yankees affiliate Tampa, according to MLB.com. Belisle has been on the DL since March 31st with a sore right forearm. Belisle will be joined by catcher David Ross in the same game, also attempting to return from injury (lower back spasms) by getting action in the minors. In 2007, his first season as a full-time starter, Belisle went 8-9 with a 5.32 ERA in 30 starts. He was 2-0 with a 9.00 ERA in four spring-training starts before being placed on the DL. |
